i'm just bitter from the frickin' deluge of over-muscled and very very poorly drawn art in the last two weeks. almost exclusively sea critters or reptiles. i swear that shit was like a rash that spread and spread.

you're right, this one is much better on the art-scale than those other abominations. it's just a flench relfex for me now.
