News: Feb 26, 2025 Show

Feb 26th:A new bill in Arizona is making its way through the Senate that would force sites like e621 to implement mandatory age verification for all usersβ€”or face potential lawsuits. This system would require third-party vendors to verify every user’s age through a government database. Not only is this a massive violation of privacy, but it also introduces serious risks, including identity theft through phishing schemes and other malicious methods. Worse still, we would have no control over ensuring that user data is permanently deleted after verification.

Since e621 operates out of Arizona, this law would almost certainly impact us if it passes. If you want to help ensure that we can continue serving you without being forced to collect personal information, we urge you to contact Arizona’s senators and ask them to vote NO on this bill.

Please help spread the word about this issue and encourage others to take action.
Further information on the bill itself can be found at the Free Speech Coalition: https://action.freespeechcoalition.com/bill/arizona-hb-2112/

  • That calm cockroach in the mug.

Now I remembered the time I almost ate a cockroach when I went to drink water in the early hours of the morning. πŸ’€πŸ’€πŸ’€

  • These posts becoming a hotspot for insect-related trauma and I will gift to everyone my own contribution of how bees on the beach seem to singlehandedly cut short 4 of some nearly fun summer vacations or summer clubs. Also, my mom was terrorized by a giant June bug on a road trip. Swore it was the same one up and down terrorizing her.

I once put a fresh-picked blackberry in my mouth. There was a June bug clinging to it. A moment later, it was clinging to my tongue. Another moment later, the bowl of blackberries was across the room.

Shudder! That unlocked a previously "vaulted" memory for me. Visiting a friend's place, he offered a carton of malted milk balls, you know, packaged in a container shapes, folded and glued like vintage milk cartons. I shook a few and munched them. A few moments later, I dispensed another two or three. The third time, a south Georgia palmetto bug cockroach (the 2 inch long species), very much alive, tumbled from the carton along with the chocolate milk balls. Dear g*d! The thought that this disease ridden critter had been crawling all over the morsels I had eaten! *BRR!!!* I don't think I ever accepted any food offered at his place ever again!

A special ingredient makes everything better, imagine chewing something "crunchy" and not knowing what it is! Lmao
