yeah this is pretty bad. it follows the mindset of being so enamored with your fantasy or being in such a lame life that you have the hope/idea you can reach it if you off yourself.

There is no real "good" thing about this.

Yet this is tame compared to many other things on this site.

If you replace the word 'follows' with 'shows', then the image, or rather its perceived message, becomes more palatable, as the post becomes illustrative. (assuming such sad individuals hell-bent on living in Ponyland really do exist… but then again, it's not 2012 anymore)

You kidding? I still remember all the "Avatards" when James Cameron re-wrote Pocahontas.

There are people who live day to day who pledge to the religion of the Jedi.

The "off the deep end" people are still all over the place and in every fandom, MLP is just the most recent and involves the fur crowd.

  • Perhaps it's more, highlighting The fact that ones who are fans of the show get such a bad rep, and are ruthlessly picked on that suicide becomes the only escape. It's not that he dreams killing himself will bring him to Equestria, But instead, it will end the torment of the hell he lives in, knowing he won't be picked on anymore. And it's nice to think of a place better than here when you are about to die. It makes it seem all the more worth it.

Actually, you just stated exactly what IS good about this pic... It's pretty clever if you ask me. It was meant to be kinda sad.

The only thing is the quality of the post. It's kinda blurry and low res

  • Personally, I have no problem if someone chooses to suicide. I actually like the idea behind this pic very much, I regard it as a more extreme extension of "finding solution at the bottom of a bottle" adage. I hope someone picks this up and makes a better version. Because let's face it - pictures like this make the fandom many times more interesting than your average Rainbow-masturbating-for-the-thousandth-time ones...

  • I, for one, think suicide is a poor choice, and that hope that no one really chooses it for short-term problems. (The sun just exploded on us? Yeah, might as well, there's no coming back from that shit happening)

For the humor, all that the character has to do is spread the loop wider and crawl through, instant portal!

For the artistic value of the piece, I love it, even for how small it is. And if the artist's desire is to evoke emotion, I would consider this a successful piece.

Oh… yeah… I remember those too, but I thought all such people eventually come to their senses and snap out of it. And I don't want to know that it's not so, so that I can find solace in ignorance rather than self-deception and keep on living in the blissful illusion that all is right with the world and its human occupants. So… don't tell me.

I think it captures the dreary bleakness of the sub-mundane sub-life rather well— and how it contrasts with the imaginary afterlife! I almost want to upvote it. The only improvement I can imagine here is increasing the resolution.

  • Sometimes to find the peaceful world you want... You must challenge your fate and accept death's embrace.

Some of us out there are planning on doing this right now. I've seen it.

So you go through it and you...?
    This is sad af

Nah, be smart about the whole thing. Get one of those little drones with a camera on it, send it in first, do some recon. If it's legit, try to touch base with the locals, see if there's any way you can increase the gap and make it fit a whole entity without killing them.

Just going the whole hog and jamming your head in is, like, running-off-on-your-own-in-a-horror-movie tier stupid.

  • Sad to say, many suicidal people think that killing themselves will end all their troubles and that they are just a burden to those that love them.
