Yeeeaaahhh... you can't call your comic Incestuous and try to pass off the idea they might not do it. Doesn't work like that.

Sorry, but 'the insufferable assholes that rag on porn comics for not having a smidgen of story or realism' beat out 'the insufferable assholes that rag on porn comics for not getting to the porn fast enough' in the bidding war.
There was going to be a delegation for 'the insufferable assholes who care about whatever the fuck you're complaining about,' but both of its members were out sick.

So much win that you can't contain it.

Yeah, uh... that has nothing to do with what I'm talking about. If you've ever watched say, Dr. Who (it doesn't matter what the show is), you've seen the Doctor (or main character) in some dangerous situation and you know he's going to escape because then you wouldn't have a show anymore. That's kinda what I'm getting at here: we know it's going to happen because we aren't going to have the comic otherwise.

It has nothing to do with realism (though, trying to be all realistic went out the window the second the artist wrote "Patient 69"). It's about trying to go in one direction, but we know it's going to go in the other.

The fact that you're trying to link this to fiction as a whole just makes your position that much more ridiculous. We know that as the main character, X isn't in any real danger, but would anyone watch a show where the characters know that and act accordingly? There would be no tension, no weight to anything, no mystery, and no one watching it except you, apparently.
You're asking for a world where these two just go with it and immediately start fucking because they read ahead in the script and know you're on the other side of the screen tapping your foot with your dick out. That's not a story, that's not erotic, that's just fucking clown shoes.
Here's a thought, maybe Skyler is showing some hesitation for a single fucking panel because she just caught her brother masturbating to pictures or her and is taking a second to process it, like fucking everyone would in that situation. That's not redirection or faking out, that's basic cause and effect.
As the resident doctor probably said to Skyler before her shift started: have some fucking patients!

Let me sum it up my original comment for you: You can not call your movie Godzilla and act like Godzilla won't appear in it.

What it boils down is that this kind of thing is honestly a cliché and I roll my eyes every time I see it. Of course, that doesn't mean I don't enjoy it. I enjoy this comic, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have it's sillier moments.

The set up so far is that her last patient just so happens to be patient 69 which just so happens to be her brother. I just find that kinda silly and this twist of "I don't know how I feel..." just really fits with.

If you want to reply to me, keep in mind that I am enjoying the comic so far. That doesn't mean I can't poke fun at it. I also suggest taking a pill and that my OPINIONS!!! are SUBJECTIVE!!!.

Anyway, I'm done rambling on about this. If you want to have your say, go ahead, but I have a personal rule of cutting myself from internet debates a day after I make my comment.

All right guys, Triple T wants to end a pointless non-argument! Everyone stop being the internet!
In seriousness, it's hard to tell when complaining is done for a cheap laugh or just to be a prick, and when it's this early in a comic it's usually the latter. I still don't think the serendipity is so bizarre that it's worth calling out as witchcraft, or that the single panel of shock is enough to call it a fakeout. But in the same vein, I should save my caustic bile for when it's actually deserved. Happy fapping.
But yeah, fuck the number 69. It's porn's inhumanity to porn.

My feelings towards your highly upvoted comment. You're attacking a guy that's not guilty of what you want him to be. As valid as your reasons are, they just don't apply to him. Talk outloud to the internet and you're fine, but don't try to start a fight with a fictional opponent.

Also sadly I have an example of two films with names that mislead you. Monsters (Worst film I have ever seen to this day) and Tall Man (It's not bad, but very misleading). I wish I could say it was nice to be surprised like that, but instead it just left me disappointed.

I can forgive this for it's name easily, as it needs to attract the right people. And also give warning to those that are not a fan of the subject. It's too short and only about 1 thing, so it doesn't need some unspoilery name at all.

But you're also wrong to think that teasing us that this might not lead to incest is automatically genius writing. It can be prolonged and drawn out and well done all without that. Having one less cliche in this would only improve it.

Please direct me to when I said that, because that's not even close to my position. I didn't say misdirection was genius, I said that a single panel of Skylar being shocked in these circumstances didn't count as misdirection.
Although with the structure of your post, I really have no idea what position you're trying to take.
