Idk why but the thought of eating a vaporeon makes me feel gross. Like, aren't those things supposed to be water? but it's also meat?? is it like some fucked up goopy combination of meat-water that has the same consistency of slime that isn't sticky??? What kind of sorcery is this

I do not know how I feel about this I love Pokemon but this all so makes me hungry I'm conflicted

If you read between the lines and the lore, there's no "normal" animals in the Pokemon setting, it's all Pokemon. So you either eat vegetarian/vegan or you're eating Pokemon for meat.

it would be confusing to mix in animals with over 1000 pokemon anyways. so

They do eat pokemon, remember from the first games there is a mention from an NPC that they do eat pokemon.

this is false.
the franchise only uses words refering to real life animals in the dex which could imply they exist, but taking that seriously from something that could just be simple flavor text like the rest of the dex =/= canon. the franchise has never shown real life animals. on the other hand the franchise has shown pokemon like magikarp being eaten, as well as slowpoke tail being a delicacy. they probably never show more because pokemon is about cute and cool animals fighting each other, and people might get major whiplash from something like this.

people arent obsessed with making things grimdark, its just an assumption anybody can make on their own. you clearly just dont like the idea
