Just out of curiosity, I had a go at making a userstyle to change the front page mascot image.
Short of this post being added to the official rotation this might do.

I barely know any css at all though so I just edited this userstyle:

can be installed with browser extensions such as Stylus, It'll make the front page look like this:

It replaces the front page mascot with this post (or whichever you edit it to, separately for e621, e926 and e6ai if you wish) as well as changes the UI of the front page.
