Ehh, I guess I can see that, in hindsight. Though there isn't much telling of Diddy Kong's age....or....any of their ages. How close or far they are apart is kinda subjective, save for particularly obvious ones like Kiddy, Cranky, and Wrinkly Kong.

Don't worry about em, some people can't tell the difference from real life and drawings of cartoon characters, for some reason.
