It's called schadenfreude, one of the reasons slapstick is funny. Not to mention that falling down stairs is a very classic gag. Used countless times in Looney Toons and other cartoons.

It can be deadly for anyone who walks bipedally; I’ve nearly done this before.

We humans have some advantage, in that we’re walking on the entire sole of the foot. But, we can still take a header down stairs (worse case - breaking the neck).

Serah, her family and perhaps 90% of her world walk on just toes or hooves. Now she’s got huge foot paws (thinking about the tub scene in “Saturday”) but she’s bipedal. Even a good set of claws eventually couldn’t get grip..

Probably true, but I think her point is going to be that he was never really there after their mom died, like, ever. This will be just one example, but I'm sure there are plenty more since the two of them pretty much had to take care of each other after their mom died and from what it seems like Keith hit the bottle pretty hard since Jayden was surprised that he wasn't drinking at the cliff after he found out about Seb and Sarah.

Falling down anywhere is terrifying as a child, and im betting what's going to happen here is Serah gets seriously hurt, but daddy's passed out drunk unable to attend her.

That's a massive fear for a child, being hurt and your parents unable to comfort you, it's traumatic.

People are sheeps and living in a dream world. They're commenting on the story without ever reading the whole comic, and they also ignoring cold hard facts that the comic made clear. They just downvote the comments they don't agree with regardless that it says the truth.

A month?

I would expect them to be spending a lot more time in recovery. This crash was enough to kill the mother and apparently fairly quickly since there was apparently little time between the accident, her death and this month passing. Serah should be still recovering. Even if the impact was more on the front of the vehicle, that's still a lot of whiplash and impact damage.

If the father broke a rib or something, he'd be recovering from that for the next two to three months depending on how severe or how many. Seb would have gotten the least amount of injuries from being asleep the whole time and thus his body would have been limp.

As people have already pointed out, Keith is 100% not available mentally at this time. But this is the author trying to sell us on how bad Keith is so, here we go!

i don't understand the down voting either ... but I will say that this is a STORY, no one is actually falling down and getting hurt. A story meant to be read and enjoyed, this is not a real life story. Some of the comments crack me up for the detailed ( in this case ) falling down and getting hurt ... just enjoy the story for goodness sake.

I imagine it's because some of us watched things like Tom and Jerry and Wiley Coyote. Where things that are objectively worse happen in nearly every single episode.
