Seriously... When watching the trailer, I momentarily got confused when I saw snake with a girlfriend because I thought he and Wolf were an "item". Then I thought "oh wait, I mainly think that because of furry porn; nvm."

Goes to show how much of the fandom has gone full blown headcannon-izing everything they took interests in which ends up ruining most if not a lot of the actual materials content and context and would affect future media's views.
