News: Feb 26, 2025 Show

Feb 26th:A new bill in Arizona is making its way through the Senate that would force sites like e621 to implement mandatory age verification for all users—or face potential lawsuits. This system would require third-party vendors to verify every user’s age through a government database. Not only is this a massive violation of privacy, but it also introduces serious risks, including identity theft through phishing schemes and other malicious methods. Worse still, we would have no control over ensuring that user data is permanently deleted after verification.

Since e621 operates out of Arizona, this law would almost certainly impact us if it passes. If you want to help ensure that we can continue serving you without being forced to collect personal information, we urge you to contact Arizona’s senators and ask them to vote NO on this bill.

Please help spread the word about this issue and encourage others to take action.
Further information on the bill itself can be found at the Free Speech Coalition: https://action.freespeechcoalition.com/bill/arizona-hb-2112/

Description

"Stonecall"

Sketch of the 1241st page of TwoKinds.

Transcript

Flora: Why is Sythe acting so protective all of the sudden? Waaaait… Is there something going on…?

Flora: Tch, nah! As if… now I'm imaging things.

Trace: Maren's going to be okay, isn't she?

Roselyn: She will recover. Her soul was briefly severed from her body, however.

Trace: Is that… bad?

Roselyn: I don't know. The only other person I know who's had their soul removed is… well, myself, but mine was rather permanent.

Roselyn: I can't say what effect it'll have on her.

Trace: Oh, Rose, Your body…

Roselyn: It was burned away by the Stone Warden. What remained… well, I removed it.

Roselyn: I'd rather Raine not see me like that. My soul resides purely within the stone of the estate now.

Flora: Stoney…

Flora: Poor thing. It was kind of scary, but…

Flora: It really helped us. Can you fix him, Trace?

Trace: Even if I had my memories, Nora made this one. There"s nothing I can do. Rest in peace, Stoney. You were a good boy.

Nora: (through Stoney) Trace! Did you break the toy I made for you?!

Trace: YAAAH!

  • So... Does this mean Nora is awake now? Or is this going to just be some sort of pre-recorded message-type deal? Unless I've forgotten something in the last decade+, I'm pretty sure Nora was asleep back at the Basitin island, wasn't she?

  • The question is, was that a prerecorded message? Is Nora awake now? Or has dreamwalking been added to her repertoire?

  • My best guess as to why Nora is able to communicate with Trace is that she uses some Obi Wan ghost Jedi power to talk to him.

Some might argue that she can't do that, but who's gonna tell her no?

She said she needed to sleep for an indeterminate amount of time. They did sail an indeterminate distance too, i'd imagine she might have woken up by now. Could have been days, weeks, or a few months since medieval style ships aren't necessarily fast.

    Sythe is pregerengeant! /s

Nah, Sythe chose to not join a shotgun marriage forced by the tribe that raised him, and has instead found a human partner of the opposite gender that he is now in love with

    What a strange concept
