Feb 26th:A new bill in Arizona is making its way through the Senate that would force sites like e621 to implement mandatory age verification for all users—or face potential lawsuits. This system would require third-party vendors to verify every user’s age through a government database. Not only is this a massive violation of privacy, but it also introduces serious risks, including identity theft through phishing schemes and other malicious methods. Worse still, we would have no control over ensuring that user data is permanently deleted after verification.

Since e621 operates out of Arizona, this law would almost certainly impact us if it passes. If you want to help ensure that we can continue serving you without being forced to collect personal information, we urge you to contact Arizona’s senators and ask them to vote NO on this bill.

Please help spread the word about this issue and encourage others to take action.

    DMs don't work that way. You have to go to the new message page through your account and enter the recipient's username.

    Honestly the best advice I can give is to observe how things move in real life, and research the core animation principles. Secondary motion + follow through in particular are super important, and gives things a lot of life. I use Aseprite for 2d stuff like this, but I think that 3D is actually an easier place to start if you can find some free to use models and learn the basics on how to use blender. If you do want to jump directly into 2D though, I'd recommend starting with blockouts using different colored sticks and shapes to mark where different body parts are. It keeps it simple so you can quickly adjust things while focusing on the motions. I start pretty much all of mine like this before going over it with the actual body shape, and it makes for a good exercise as well if you don't want to do a full animation.
