That was back when it was still acceptable to draw the female figure like it was in every other anime show, like an anorexic twig that'd snap at the middle and fall to the floor and shatter if you so much as bumped into'em wrong (read 'at all').

That's my take on it anyway, it WAS the prevalent art style at the time and Chlao does like his anime stuffs even to this day, ergo...

They're still a bit oversized (imho). But not as bad as the early ones. (yea, I'm not a fan of absurdism. xD)
