Actually there is technically a Zombie virus, it's a fungus, I can't remember what it's called but the video game "The Last of Us" was basically a story about what if this fungus made the leap from ants to humans.

wouldn't the part where furries have as much intelligence as humans fit in somewhere, and where a lot of them are stronger than most humans, and some of them wield magic, and have the ability to literally kill you with cuteness, and a ton other things that would give them a better chance?
