For such a simple idea there isn't much of it, you are right.

Seems to be even less human male with anthro female art around. But maybe that's just one of those perception vs. reality things where if you're looking for something specific you never seem to find it (or at least enough of it).

Certainly would make it easier if there was a set tag (or at least a consistently used tag) for human/anthro pairings. Even better if there were tags for which partner was human and which was anthro. That way we could just pop that tag in the search bar with "straight" or "lesbian" or whatever floats our particular boat and get the full selection. So far the "best" option has been to search "human" and just hope to find something good.

What I can say, is that I did find more straight human x anthro than lesbian. Hell, I even find more gay pics! (gays, please take no offense).
And I agree with you, it would very helpful a more specific tag for this category.

There is the Human-on-anthro tag but it isn't used consistently. I myself search for "human anthro" and get rather good results, but I don't know what I miss doing this.

Like gest recently a manga comic was posted "the furry wife" and only one page has the anthro tag.

Yea, it seems like it's fairly easy to find any kind of pairing but human male with anthro female. About 95% of the human on anthro images I've come across both here and online in general have focused on human women with anthro/feral partners. Thankfully there are a few artists like Hattonslayden who puts out a lot of great human male x anthro female images.

Yea, the problem is definitely the consistency, which tends to go for a lot of tags. Some will only go as far as an "interspecies" tag and leave it at that, but even then, not consistently, so the only "guaranteed" method is to search for human and weed through the results.
