i'd recommend just reading the comic, but if you don't wanna... iirc: magic. to save girl's life, the guy gave/copied her a part of his mind, that happened to contain his gender identity.

if he called the person who tagged it with 'female', or the artist an 'idiot', because of the apparent inconsistency i wouldn't mind calling him out, but geez...

The right one, Natani, may be a female, but for the most part of her live she was raised as a boy and also tries to convince everyone that she is a boy. Only a few people (who have seen her naked or with torn clothes) know that she is a girl and are helping hiding it

If I may so kindly correct you, Natani WAS raised as a girl. Though tomboyish, raised as a girl nonetheless. It was when Zen combined his and her minds to save her life. As a result she kept male traits and thus changed he identity as a man. I completely forgot the page number where this is explained, and I'll do some diggin to find it
