  • Dickgirls are better than herms me thinks.
The crotch just looks like somebody forgot their building instructions and put in all parts they found.

Does the "tag what you see" rule apply here?

We can't see the vagina on the character, meaning it should be a dickgirl, but the text refers to it as a "herm". I'm so confused...

    It's a paradox

excuse me if it slips the mind of the person who drew it seeing as i know its a herm its kinda hard to put it as anything differently.. i dont do it on purpose its just hard to break habbit of every other site allowing you to tag it as what it is x3

Well, it says in the image that it is a herm. This is not an outside source, it is in the very image. I'm not sure the exact ruling on that, but I'd say that means it can be tagged as herm. That's just my opinion though.

So if a picture of an apple appears on here but the dialogue says it's an avocado, do we tag it as an avocado? No. We tag it as an apple.

    Dickgirl tag stays.

No, because that's an obvious contradiction. But what if it's a generic citrus fruit, and the text calls it lemon? Do we tag it as lemon?

Only if it's fruit doesn't work.

Ok then, describe what a generic citrus fruit looks like

Could be a lime or a lemon. But since the text identifies it, the obvious choice would be to tag it as a lemon.

My decision still stands. We only tag what's VISIBLE in an image. Text alone is not enough evidence. When people search for herm on this site, they expect to see penis, breasts, and pussy. This doesn't show pussy so it stays as dickgirl

Yes but it is entirely possible for a image of a character to be drawn were their genetalia is not shown. Take this image for example: https://e621.net/post/show/626475/ Her leg is up, covering her pussy, yet it is still tagged as female. I think that we can all agree that the female tag is entirely logical to be placed there. However, who's to say that behind that leg isn't a rock hard cock? The difference between this image and that one is that this image refers to this character as a herm, making it entirely obvious to anyone viewing it that the character, regardless whether we see it's pussy or not, is a herm.

The pussy isn't required to be tagged female though. If it were, rating:s would be filled with ambiguous_gender.

To put it another way, characters are ambiguous until they are proven to be female/male, female until they are proven to be cuntboy, and dickgirl until they are proven to be herm. It's really the only way we've managed to tag characters with any sort of consistency.

As for text, it's been decided that making any exceptions for text just isn't practical enough to be worth the conflict it causes. It ends up functioning more like a loophole rather than actually complementing TWYS.

The character may be herm in text, but the image itself shows them as dickgirl, so they get tagged dickgirl.
