Yeah, I'd hazard to say she fits the 'motherly' role more closely than Celestia does.

i think that the dude that did this didnt watch the show long enough... celestia is more of a distant cousin than a motherly figure plus twy already has a mom... and AJ its not a tomboy she is just married to her work. RD is a tomboy and gilda is just rude

Actually, FS is more like "has pet dog/cat as a replacement for children" type. Or a "cat lady" type, if you want (except real cat ladies usually don't make too good job of taking care of their cats).
