  • She DID spend her entire adolescence with them, and considering they messed with her genetics when she was only 3-4, I imagine she doesn't really have a human viewpoint on many things.

Exactly, she was raised with a different culture with different traditions and different taboos, I can only imagine the stance on nudity, sex, and other things we take for granted is different in Chozo culture, society, and how welcome they are to have others assimilate to their beliefs.

Well Samus had an even more skewed view on those things than a normal Chozo since the reason they kept her was to convert her into a bio weapon to be the spearpoint of the Pirate forces, but only Mother Brain and Gray Voice knew of this plot, the others and Samus thought they were just training her to be able to survive on Zebes.

I can just imagine the scene up above here to be another form of the manipulation. Imagine just how angry she could get over this.

Actually, judging by her age depicted here, she's fully an adult and had all the BS happen where all that other stuff was revealed.

A massive thing revealed was that Chozo tech allows the storage of memories and minds. The reason Samus defaults to the Varia suit is because it lets her communicate with the "spirit" of Gray Voice, her Chozo father who used his DNA to re-write Samus and how they encoded a power suit to her, though it was revealed that this mental connection spans any number of Chozo who have passed.

So the above image could be any number of "dreams" she could act out with any of these passed on Chozo in her down time.

On another note, the fact that her powersuit is encoded in her DNA is why the Power Suit is so drastically different in Fusion when the Metroid DNA "vaccine" is used on her and she activates her suit. While it was in lockdown and had to be cut away to get at her body, she could re-engage it when she woke up but when she did, well... There is a reason she considers her previous life had ended.

You got a point, almost makes you wonder if they planned for her to be their rebirth. To be the future of their race.

Any other ideas wanna speculate about their culture in specially when it comes to their taboos and practices? I've personally want to know more.

They are intentionally vague for the most part, but they bring up that the Chozo were NOT nice people. They were something of a conquering race and their ultra magitech removed all opposition.

The only thing that changed was that they found a way to make it so that they would no longer die via old age, but what they didn't know is that they were rendered sterile after a certain age anyway, meaning they were now a dead race. So, they put in psychic locking to prevent them from performing violent acts and instead became a "parent" type race to the other beings in the galaxy but refusing to get involved in any political BS.

Samus is the result of their warrior program, and as you can obviously see, she is easily a one person army, far more powerful than any other soldier in the galaxy. Now imagine thousands, if not millions of warriors like her across the galaxy, and you have an idea of the clenched fist the Chozo once had.

I wonder if that includes any kind of breeding program or a desperate desire for children that they try with Samus first? It wouldn't surprise me if they had some kind of success with using other species and imposing their bloodline and DNA to keep their race going in some form like with Samus and that later down the line the physical traits would show up.

Remember that Zebrees and Talon IV where just two chozo colonies and you had that sky city in Prime 3. Just imagine how many others are out there that might be inhabited by the results of such experiments like Samus.

The 100% ending of Samus Returns showcases not all the chozo chose the life of peace. Some are viciously warmongering to this day, but operate like a shadow organization.

That is very interesting, but I also wonder about their social practices and cultural differences in things like family, sex, music, food even, and this dominance idea plays into it, you can learn alot from the art of a culture as well as Admiral Thrawn likes to show. I see lots of Babylonian/Egyptian/Mayan in their architecture.

  • When did the Chozo start looking so young and spry? The ones in the Manga looked more like Virgil from the old Mighty Max cartoons. All droopy-faced and ancient.

I mean, not that I object to something that looks a lot like Tengu getting some action, but I'm a little confused.
