  • I'm confused. What is this dress and why are you all freaking out over it?
Why is there a Bad Dragon character in clothing, anyways?

Huge... HUGE fucking thing about this dress. Basically, if you're phone's brightness was high enough, the minor differences in each person's perception was made apparent, because some people see black and blue, and others see gold and white.

white and gold... Not a big deal. Just contrast it and you got white and black.

  • To be honest, I think it all depends on the lighting, when the picture of the original dress was taken. In the original picture, the dress looks darker in the front, facing us, but it clearly looks lighter in the back, because of the fluorescent or white light shining above and around it. I thought it was an all white dress with a brown, champagne or golden design attached to it. I think this dress is deceptive and needs to be put out in proper lighting so that people can see its true colors. The picture of the dress was taken under false lighting conditions so that if anyone decreased the brightness of their smartphone screen, a false image of a Blue and Black dress would be seen. In reality, I think the fabric of the dress might be made so that it would reflect a different color when the dress is seen in bright to dark light as well as different types of natural and/or unnatural lighting, such as sunlight or fluorescent light. If this is the case, then I believe that everyone's color theory is correct. I think whoever put the image of the dress on the internet, did it on purpose to make people react the way they expected or did it to intentionally spark controversy. The original picture of the dress might have been altered or photoshoped as well, but its too hard to tell at the moment. ;)

  • Never imagined that dress would be so crotch hugging...

    Speaking of imagining things

I found it funny that I never ever saw an ounce of gold in that dress because while some people look at pictures as they are I try to imagine what the picture would look like in real life, which means I have to compensate for lighting (sometimes unsuccessfully). That said I can see why it may appear gold, but I will never ever get the white part, pale blue, sure but white?
