Agreed....can't see the attraction to using that line in this stuff. I can only assume it's because they have vaguely human characteristics and are easy to explain through the old "hypnotizing" tactic.

Yeah not exactly hard to pin-point the reason, however what's really baffling is there are so many other pokemon that could do the exact same job. I mean pretty much any ghost and psychic type could do the job if the artist wished it.
