It kinda works more with them, since they look the same both ways really to me. At least they still have lips when anatomically correct.

I think it depends on the horse. Some breeds translate much better than others.

i really love how people here are inferring that taking a picture of a cat or dog anthro and replacing the cartoony face with a real life depiction would be totally fine compared to this

Well sorry for not being correct, but a mare has two teats and it pretty much looks like an udder to me and many other people call it just that.
