Giegues isn't the name of this form of Giygas, it's simply an unused renaming from the localized (an unreleased) version of Mother 1. It shares its name with Giygas in the original.

Actually it was used. Earthbound Beginnings is the finalized version.

It did end up getting used, but both forms share the same name in the original versions. I'd honestly just write it off as a relic from the 1994 cartridge's translation.
