I'm more of a Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh! card expert. I haven't the slightest clue how to begin playing Magic the Gathering, mostly because I care very little about it.

Not many do. I actually went to the store a few days ago and the isle that has all the collectible cards, including sports ones, every single other card game was gone except the Magic cards.

Pokemon TCG is actually a re-envisioning (mechanics wise, obv) of Magic, and they both work pretty similarly, due to Pokemon being made by the same people
