    Correct. They are no obligate, but they produce very little if the type A bile allowing digestion of vegetative matter. We, bears and a handful of other non-primates have 50:50 balance of type A and B bile. In other words, feed brocolli to a dog that likes it (especially if it's done in a chinese garlic sauce) and you shall smell the results for DAYS!
