I find it hilarious that Jesus would be portrayed next to Lenin. Seeing as how JC is sort of the capitalist poster boy here in the us.

JC's Ideas are more inline with communism though, sharing and the like. Not Stalinism, which is oppressive, because I know someone's going to get their arse in a twist about this comment.

Lenin was a democratic socialist, not a communist. And he was betrayed and over thrown by Stalin. Lenin believed in redistributing wealth to put everyone on equal footing, allowing everyone to live a comfortable, if slightly modest life. He despised what he called the bourgeoisie, or the opulently rich who cared nothing for poor people who worked so hard for the rich people in the first place.

By the way "common men" were treated, I'm really not surprised he didn't like them.

Though the treatment has gotten slightly better since then, the attitude the rich have for the common man hasn't changed in the slightest. It always amazes me how the rich can have such contempt for the poor people who work for them, in essence giving the rich the very thing that makes them rich. Snobbing the hand that feeds you isn't very bright.

However, your original point was correct: JC did invent a lot of Lenin's base rhetoric, but he was also full of very poor family values and questionable morality in other areas. Lenin's only fault was that he was too much of an idealist to see Trotsky and Stalin coming after him.

  • Forever are the masses in conflict with one another, while a few guys up above sit atop a mountain to enjoy the view, never having to lift a finger. Strength in numbers only works when everyone is unified for a common cause. Even then, we'd still be divided in how to achieve that singular goal.
