Funny thing, that's not how Amiibo work :D You can't play as your amiibo in smash bros., Only fight against it or with it to train it as a sparring partner or ally. :P

mirror match training player has lucario selected and is tapping the amiibo to add it in as "player 2" (though you if you look closely the screen used is actually the player select screen for the 3ds version)

This reminds me of Stylus Mew...
