Prisoner Transport
An old picture of mine was brought up in a recent conversation with someone, in which a bluejay girl is tied to a chair and 'interrogated' in the way those things usually tend to go around FA. You can see the picture here.
I had been in the mood to do a real, proper picture lately anyway, and that conversation gave me both the perfect excuse to start drawing as well as a good idea for the contents of the picture. A spiritual successor to the interrogation picture- obviously it's not the same girl for this jay doesn't have wings... a sister perhaps? I wonder what shenanigans they could have gotten up to to land themselves in this situation.
Anyway, I decided to play around with lineless painting this time around. I've been doing value studies lately and I felt like this would be a good test of that. I've still got a lot to learn of course, but I'm amazed I managed to pull this off as well as I did. I don't think I could have done a lineless painting clearly before I started all this practice stuff, so perhaps it's actually working. The values overall are perhaps a bit wonky, I didn't have a solid plan for the lighting when I started, but all in all I think I'm pretty happy with how this turned out.
Lemme know what you think! :D

Should we add it as a "parent" picture?

MemberI just feel like commenting that the blue Blue Jays are all male. Female Blue Jays are actually brown. The same is true for Cardinals.
