Ditto are never used seriously in battle except if they have the Imposter ability (and that's only post Gen 5), and mostly they are only used for breeding, whether it's breeding for perfect IVs or to obtain more than one rare Pokémon. And pretty often, a single Ditto is bred with several different Pokémon. Sometimes even with their offspring.

My guess it's that that's the reason it's crying.

that's... kinda fucked up
