This is AFTER Riley matures right? So Anger and Fear are now female. That makes it sound less weird.

I think they should stay male, tbh. I'm partial to the idea that her anger and fear are emotions that she learned how to express by watching her father's anger and fear, and that would be why her emotions for anger and fear are male and look a lot like his.

though everyone else ended up with all five of their emotions being the gender of the person they're inside of. though that doesn't mean that anger and fear will just take a complete 180 and become female. as she's very tomboyish. it's possible all of them will become somewhere in between, or at least have something that links them in common. infact. i'm not sure if all of Dad's emotions are specifically male. they all have mustaches but I suppose if sadness, happyness, and disgust are still female, they could just have mustaches since anger is the one in the lead. and so anger wanted them all to have mustaches.

likewise with mom's lead emotion with sadness maybe wanting them all to have glasses. so the original gender of the emotions doesn't ultimately mater.
