  • I know it sais ar15 but i tagged it as m4 also .

    If said individual is in the military it would be an m-4 carbine .

    the
    M-16 /m-4 family are
    originaly called ar-15's . its just that when adopted by the military fire arms are renamed with the leter M. For model and followed up by a number .

    For instance the m16 is the military version of the ar-15 but is longer than the one in the pic . im guessing by his camos he is in the armed forces so there for an
    M-4 carbine with the shorter barrel.

    Originally adopted by the U.S. special forces , this rifle is now issued to the majority of the united states armed forces to replace the current m-16a4 rifle .

    I heard they even designed a new
    bullet / round type in 5.56
    (ar15 round nato)

    To replace the previous
    Green tipnato round.
