I'm quite glad you asked, audience. For it is a fetish that needs some explaining.
Something I've noticed (mainly on e621) is that whenever a character without visible or existent naughty bits is naked and 'strutting their stuff,' I get a weird sense of satisfaction that I think fits the term 'presexual.' It doesn't make me horny, per se, but it's like seeing nonexistent nudity gives me an equally nonexistent boner.
Some other distinguished colleagues and I have grouped this fascination under a phenomenon called The BSting Effect. Basically it's something not-quite-sexual from our childhood, usually a cartoon, that latches onto us and shapes our perceptions once we finally reach sexual awakening. In the eponymous example, BSting was fascinated as a kid with how cartoon characters always got their butts stung by bees, and when butts and 'stinging' gained a sexual connotation, a fetish was born.
A similar thing happened to me- I always took notice of cartoon characters (usually furries) having all the human parts except the interesting ones and being naked or mostly naked all the time (and sometimes flaunting it). Combined with how I didn't much care for wearing clothes at that pre-boner age, I was pretty much destined to develop this fetish that, weirdly enough, kinda isn't sexual. To call it sexual would be to put sexuality into something that, by its occlusion of genitalia, cannot be sexual. It is not nudity because it is always-already naked.
I could probably go on for days about the psychological implications of this, the pursuit of jouissance and The Animal That Therefore I Am, but it basically boils down to me having a featureless crotch fetish, and also loving absolutely everything that edtropolis draws. Also, I'm probably the only person alive who prefers in-game Midna to almost every singe piece of porn drawn of her.
