'Cause it's from Gunnerkrigg Court. It's either a joke from a fan on Kat's crush on the boy who turned into a bird, or it's form the actual artist, about the same thing.

There's actually a Kat storyline going on right now involving a bird, probably to build on that.

Obviously a fan joke. Tom doesn't do porn.

This picture is pretty old. It's a joke about chapter 13, when she meets a cute boy who then turns into a bird.

ambiguous gender? thats a female peacock, you can tell cuz it dosn't have the flashy feathers on its head. not very ambiguous, just need to know the the most basic knowledge about peacocks.

according to the comic, this isn't even a peacock, and it is indeed a male bird. I just forget what species he turns into..

The bird is no named species. The change into a feral animal is a reward for passing some test the denizens of the forest propose in the Gunnerkrigg Court story. Kat grows to like the son of two of them, and he transforms into a bird as a sort of passed-down acceptance. They're not mentioned by species name, they're just a random bird-y thing. c:
