You know... I love Sef's work, both sexy and intriguing.. but god is her character such a mood killer. I get it, she's damaged goods, but everytime she opens her mouth.. any progress that was made gets reset back to zero. When she realizes she's wrong, opens her mouth anyway. I mean sure her attitude is annoying and irritating but we are kind of the ones who assumed what transpired between them sexually would bring a big chance in their relationship.

From the start it was about getting what she wanted from him so she could get back at his father. Her personality has been chiseled into a sardonic, sarcastic, arrogant one from who knows how many years of abuse, negligent and rage. So despite her emotional flashback expecting a massive upheaval in her attitude was unrealistic. I personally fine it refreshing as opppsed to the usual media in which sex makes everything better and heals all wounds

She is arrogant and cruel and it seems it will take more than a memory and some sex to change that. Makes her character more realistic and less cliche IMO. You can't just shrug that kind of stuff off because of a little tenderness

Not really sure what you guys were expecting from Vera. Like Tiamat said, this was only ever about getting what she wanted. Plus she clearly hates her husband so she would logically hate/attack any similarities her son has to him. The difference with Kindle, though, is that she has some measure authority over him as queen and of course, as his mother.

So...maybe she's just venting? Using him as an outlet?

As long as they don't crap out the ready of this great story so far. Though I would mind them spreading this story further and adding a bit of focus to the gryphons and the rest of the family so you're get a better feel for everyone. I mean the mother is a bitch but there could be more reason to the way she is. I actually kinda like how diverse app the characters traits are developed in this. I hope one day they can extend this into maybe a webcomic series.
