We really need a Censored_patreon_advert tag.

Best you can do is combine censored/distracting_watermark and patreon tags to have a somewhat effective blacklist for these, but I prefer to not blacklist anything here so I can find the artist and submission block them on Inkbunny/FA instead

I briefly considered it but it will also filter out many artworks i may like. patreon images are not always censored and sometimes censored art can be even better if done skillfully.

Do we keep an idea box or tag suggestion thread somewhere? A tag like that may come in handy for both artist and user. It gives the user the ability to make the choice to see these or not and saves the artist some frustrating comments about their pay model being a cock blocker.

And, my opinion, while the jury-rig censored/Patreon fix does work, it only does when the person tags Patreon and censored, which this guy didn't. Tag history shows so. Having some tag to announce blatant Patreon advertising, or defining a new type of censoring, would be good.

Of course, this obviously comes full circle: they, or another, needs to put that tag in...

If you combine them on the same line, it will only include pictures that have Patreon and censored/distracting_watermark on the same submission (Should work if you do "patreon ~censored ~distracting_watermark" which means either of these two ~tags have to be tagged with the patreon tag to be blacklisted)

After reading source links description and comments, this is the exact behaviour that is poisoning the patreon well for everyone. Also not having any of that info here, just image with massive censoring doesn't help at all, especially when there's no link to patreon either where to get the content.

Ideaology of patreon is to support creators so that they can create content for everyone. Supporting what you like so it's possible to have more of it.

Saying you have to pay content which will not be accessible in any other way ever, is literally that paywall everyone hates. Forcing your biggest fans to give you money, maybe get tiny bit more dosh from horny users, make everyone sour and have majority pirating stuff.
Instead of punishing those who do not want to pay, it's far better to give thank you for those who want to. Because those who would've pirated the comic are most likely just fine getting comic from week to couple months later as much lower resolution anyway.

There are already patreon tag which you can combine with any/multiple of the following:

• advertisement
• censored
• distracting_watermark

Do not know why someone made patreon_censored tag, because I get same results with patreon censored including couple more related results.
