Well, I just thought that it would make as good an ending as the one that happened in the comic. Plus, it it would be an indication of Nick's hustling ability and/or Judy's recognition of him and her attachment to him.

Obviously Nick knows juuuust the right spot to scritch for maximum bunny relaxation. I have to say that I like both endings, just that this one is cuter.
