  • I see we have different definitions of "Bad Time". that looks absolutely BEAUTIFUL!

If an android like that existed I would BEG her to strip down so I could explore every inch of her body in a honestly non sexual way.

I mean, I would totally be down for any kind of sensual exploration, but first, scientific exploration! I mean, GOD DAMN, LOOK AT THOSE TINY MOVING PARTS. UNTZ!

I have the hardest engineering boner right now.

Hell yeah, the first part of what you said is so true, I'm a science and tech geek myself, would love to 'explore' her too :3

I'm with you on this one, I myself am a robotics engineer so this peeks my interest big time.

In fact, I wonder if she'd let someone look at her electical schematics... oh yes...

  • This is so deliciously creepy. Part of me wants to reel away, but at the same time, somehow, it just makes me love this character more. Nicely done, FK.

  • She's beautiful and all, but I kinda think that I would be too busy freaking out over all the cool tech-y stuff to have sex with her.

Beauty is just skin deep for you eh?

I kinda agree with him on one part; if she did that in this state, I'd be kinda scared. It's still very... interesting to look at. I'd like to know how they got facial animation to work correctly for her body-type :3

  • You know why this is great?
    It's actually a creative OC
Who is quote and quote "terrifying" under her skin
But that just adds more color to her palette.

  • You know what's kind of intriguing though, as a thought?

Watching all those parts whizz whirr and buzz about as you get it on. Getting to observe that would be really interesting.

  • Someone severely overestimated the scariness factor of a de-skinned android.

All I can focus on is wondering how long it'd crackle and spark when you splash it with water.

Please understand I say this not to be critical, just to point out that this is not my own particular strange fetish.. but people are weird. *shrugs*

Oh well, as long as you're not hurting anyone.

  • well, its not that terrifying, its actually a bit better in a way i guess.

  • Bad time? You're still you. I guess Fnaf is still fresh in everyone's minds. I would be startled at first sure but I would probably *facepalm* , *sigh*, recompose myself, then fine beauty in this breathtaking work of mechanical engineering.

    you should join FIRST robotics...
I mean, its not this good, but it's a second best.

  • For some reason I find the face on the first panel to be scarier than the second. Maybe just because she pulls off a "I'll murder you in your sleep" look in the first part whereas the second one has more of a "Surprise bitches!" look. :p

Yeah like it could give nightmares but as an engineer fuck it would be awesome to study her

  • Hmmm... From the looks of the inside of the skin, it seems that either supplements fine motor movement of the artificial tendons below, or could provide low-key tactile sensory nodes. In the latter case, there are large patches that suggest that ARA is susceptible to having the side underneaths of her jaw rubbed.

I wonder if there is a quick-snap feature added to the pseudoderm, or if it secures via vacuum. Otherwise, crumbs could cause some really weird feelings if they slipped while ARA partakes in donuts.

Double hmmm... if her and the other units are constructed based on pre-existing somatotypes, perhaps the pseudoderm's main anchor is to the spine, then folded around the rest of the body?

As for the functions of the pseudoderm, whether it supplements fine motor movement can be checked by testing her AI's response to being poked until she becomes annoyed; if ARA begins to twitch, it supplements.

You sound like the 10th or 11th doctor right there. And I love it.

  • I think what really sells it for me is the absolutely psychotic grin in the first panel. Like, that's some unhinged serial killer type face right there.

  • Less of a criticism and more of an observation of a trend for drawing androids. The eyes, mouth, nose, etc are drawn more robotic with the skin off, which is fine, but the removed skin lacks a filler/screen cover explain why it looks different. Example: the eyes go from a single orb to a bisected ring surrounding a lens. However, the skin's eyesocket is just a hole; there should be a screen there to overlap the organic eyes we see in the first picture.
Again, I love the artwork, and the character

  • On the one hand, uncanny valley makes me wanna feel squicked beyond belief, but the engineer/tinkerer in me is going "Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold the panic impulse for a few seconds, I wanna know how all that works! Are all those channels in the synthflesh/fur sensors to relay touch/pressure? Is that grill below the jaw a speaker, is that how ARA speaks? Or does she have a synthetic larnyx? Damn, lookit all those servos and articulation plates, could give an octopus a run for its money in the flexibility department. How good are those optics?"

At the end of the day, it's still ARA in there. She's pure software when you get down to it, a body or lack thereof is inconsequential so long as she's got something to run her code on. Presumably she can't hurt you and would likely find it abhorrent to do so as an intelligent being, and in the unlikely event this chassis gets taken over by a malevolent party (A.I. or otherwise) or malfunctions to the point of being a hazard to the organic crew, seeing under the hood means you know where to shoot at to render it inoperable if all else fails.

I think ARA's pretty neat, with or without the fur on.
