  • The fuel tank here would not be the IED. It would be a distraction to make you think so, the actual IED is probably something that looks very blended into the area. Probably a pressure plate or a sensor switch of the like being that those are very common.

It looks like the tank off of either an F-15 or F-16

I belive it´s from an F-15. The F-16´s external fueltank have no dropwings.

you ,ay want to go re look at wat IED means .. before EVEN assuming that is a non-Live tank used as a Massive IED ..

considering teh News Plastered how damaging an IED in a Port was in 2020.. becuase of bad handling, storage and Confinement of that Farming product. -Lebanon, Beirut (still no action has been done about it today 2023)

this relatively 'LOL not an IED', can take out your tank from that position

You're not getting the context. This is a training lane designed to reinforce that IEDs are NOT always obvious. That is literally the whole point of a giant tank sitting there while the signs asks "Can you SPOT IT?" Their camouflaged nature is what frequently makes them so devastating.

Could a fuel tank be used as an IED? Sure. Is it representing one here? Absolutely frigging not.
