    i require context

I don't have the context to this incident per say, but I'm like 90% sure it's from this comic called Mark Trail, which was drawn by Jack Elrod, except really early on, until he died a few years back I think. I presume by the caption that the character is Tom Davis, the eponymous main character's father in law. It looks like him at least.

I didn't really read the comic as it bored me but I recognize it form seeing it in news papers when I was little. It was pretty ubiquitous.

It's about this wildlife ranger, and it has a strange habit of habit cutting to shots of landscapes and animals while people are talking, I guess to break up the monotony of the shot, but because of the way it does so it often humorously makes it look like a pair of fish or something are discussion the politics of wild life preserves.

I think Seanbaby made a thing a while back making fun of its habit of misplacing text bubbles in weird ways.

Sorry if my explaining this ruined the joke for anybody.
