I got a estimate....Its a LOT to get this colored...

    226 character images x $5
    163 goop fx frames x $1
    4 bgs x $20

$1373 minimum for rough color, if i did my math correctly. This is why most of my work is sketch animation.
(this price doesnt include any looped/repeat/held frames, only unique frames.)

If I may ask, how long does one of your animations usually take to complete? It seems an awful amount of work to go through (though with the money flowing like that, I imagine it's also very lucrative)

This one took a total of...I think between 5-7 days. (not counting when he was away)

its decent pay for small projects if done right, but it's hell for large projects if you're not careful.

Animations can take anywhere from 3 days to a month to complete, this project took 5 full workdays with a $400 budget (maximum the commissioner was able to give, extra animation was on me -u-)

Your work is awesome, but honestly I don't think a time will ever come in my life where I could spend $1373 on an animation. =_='

  • FuzzAmorous, I suspect you may be hearing from the Nobel Assembly in the near future. A 37 second cure for ED is a towering medical achievement.

He went over this with us (me) already, sadly it won't be colored.

I mean, if you were ok with it and someone else ponied up the money, it could still happen? (assuming you commissioned this)

Yea I just spend the money to get the animation. And took 2 months to get a slot. Would be a while to get the money together and get said 2nd slot to get it colored as well.

  • If there was any Fuzzamorous animation I'd like to see cleaned up and colored, it'd be this one. That last shot is incredibly well animated. Nice work, fam!

Actually for cleanups you dont need to get another slot in his streams, just talk to him about who would be available for getting it done!

you dont have to wait for a slot if you want this colored, I can arrange a crew to get it completed if the funding is there. :)

At prices like that, I'd be surprised if you never considered crowdfunding options. Might be hard for one person to save up 1500 but it would be easy for 150 peeps to drop $10 each in a bucket. Just saying...

I question the practicality of getting a blowjob while sniping. That also begs the question, did he even hit his target?

In any case. Thanks Hardcore training, such as this one.

Exactly! I've suggested making a money-pot on a few of Fuzzs' animations that people have really liked. No one seemed to be appreciative of that idea though haha.

I am considering having it colored in a few months, will be doing payments over months, but wouldn't mind some assistance with its cost. (the snake is my character)

Considering this costed around $1500 I doubt it will be getting colored...

$1.5K for 37 seconds of linesketch sounds like either a bad ball park estimate or popularity price gouging. I get that Fuzzamorous is GOOD, but you don't get that even as a professional animation contract. Without having looked at commission prices I'd mark it closer to $250-400 tops, most of it for the number of substantially different frames.

Now, getting it colored? Yeah, considering the length I can see it fetching closer to $750 or more depending on if it's just colored, shaded, overall hours total work, etc.

It was 400 for this sketch animation, and would be a minimum of 1373 to color it.

Actually my sister and her husband works in the american animation industry. They are some of the highest paid artists in the country.

You also have to remember their costs are split among teams of people, while Fuzz does this all on his own with some revisions from me. He has the combined workload of a storyboarder, background artist, keyframe animator, and in-betweener.

With the multiple jobs and the length of it, this animation is -worth- $1.5k.

As for rendering, this is a LOT to ink; it'd have to go over multiple revisions and screenings just to make sure lines dont wobble incorrectly. It could take upwards of a month or more. To get shadow shapes looking good and not wobble takes time and revisions too.

  • As an additional to my previous statement. For a sketch animation this size that went for $400... 226 unique frames for $400 equals out to less than $2 a frame. This doesnt take into counting FX, BGs, and storyboarding.

  • ...maybe the most bizarre blowjob scenario I have ever seen, but the animation is very fluid and that snake chick takes care of that cock like a champ.
