Description
This is Raincloud Weathervee, the main character in a comic series I'm setting up. As his mini-bio suggests, he can evolve himself into the eeveelutions, but it rarely works out as planned.
Unlike his friend Thunder, Rain's a little bit on the bashful side.
The character layout was inspired by kuroodod 's Oversexed Eeveelutions. Rain was partly inspired by the pokemon Vee in the manga comics.
Art and Raincloud Weathervee © Softtailed.
Eevee © Nintendo, Game Freak, The Pokémon Co.

Blockedi'd recommend removing those teeth, they're unnecessary, awkward, and have way too much detail compared to the rest of the pic
Daneasaur
MemberThese are also all traced over Kurodood's eeveelution series.

BlockedYeah, they have that whole.. 'traced image' quality.
sourbraixen
BlockedDon't put traced stuff on e621, it isn't a good idea
Electric D
Memberbut it isn't traced, he just liked how kuro introduced his characters and thought it'd be fun and cute to do it in a similar way to that, he even asked if kuro was ok with it and kuro said that he didn't mind at all, he even liked it. infact if you go to the artist's FA you see he even drew a pic with kuro in it.

BlockedThey are really clearly traced over kuro's Sam pic but with slight edits..
Marcasaur
MemberIt is indefinably just a traced over/edited version of Sam's Bio from Kuro's Eeveelution series.. Doesn't matter if Kuro minds or not, it still doesn't make it any less fake and lazy.. So with that in mind, please stop. >.>
Electric D
MemberIt is not traced over, god, when will people understand that if something is similar that doesn't mean that they completely stole the original. also, what? since Kuro did a 3 panel comic style introduction for his characters nobody else is allowed to do it? It's the same shit on youtube "oh, that guy did it first, everyone else in the world who does it now is just a lazy copycat"
DVNC
MemberI was actually curious to see if this was just a lazy trace with slight edits, so I went to Kuroodod's Oversexed Eeveelutions with the Eevee one in mind and I don't see how this could be considered, by definition, a trace.
Seems like the artist just likes to mimic the format and use the same pokemon/poses.
Electric D
MemberFinaly someone sees it, thank you, miss/sir. at least someone actually properly looks before they accuse something of being fake or real. if you really just look at the two pics next to each other you see there's no way it's traced.
pd
MemberI agree with the DevistatedDrones comment, it's not a trace, it is however the same pokemon with the same poses. In that way, while the entire idea may be inspired by kuroodods excellent series, the air of the project you're making feels more as if it was a chinese knockoff of Oversexed Eeveelutions, which is why everyone is shitting on it.
My advice, it's nice that you were inspired, but being inspired doesn't mean you can derive this much stuff from the original artwork. If you were more original and less blatantly obvious about your copy, you would perhaps have a better reception.
sourbraixen
BlockedEven if it isn't a trace, if your art quality is low enough and you're copying something else so closely that it can be mistaken for tracing, then you're clearly doing something wrong
Electric D
MemberArt quali- you know what? No, I'm done, screw this. You believe what you want, I don't care anymore, I know the truth behind the pic, and what it means to the artist. I'm not gonna waste time on this anymore. I'm gonna stop commenting on this. I'm gonna go drink some bleach, bye.
Marcasaur
MemberHave fun with that, maybe before you swallow, make sure you realize that you had no obligation to defend this artist.. All the headaches you got from this are your own fault.
ToxicRaveUmbreon
Memberactually soft-tailed asked kuroodud if soft-tailed could do this and kuroodud actually letted soft-tailed do it its even found on Furaffinity so ya kuroodud letted soft-tailed to do it *very sorry i have a bit poor grammar issues because i not good with a bit of grammar*

Former StaffDoesn't appear to be a trace. Drop the subject.

MemberSince the Topic above got dropped, let me say the Art style is not to my enjoyment but it should be interesting. I agree on the teeth though, should probably go without them on this piece, they're a bit too.... Unnerving I guess you can call it? They just don't feel right on the piece.
