I really need to finish it, but I will say that if you liked Sonic 2, 3 or Generations, you'll like Freedom Planet.
It feels like a proper Sonic 4, it's more polished than you'd expect from an indie game (feels better than Sonic 3 honestly) and has tons of branching paths and secrets.
Each character traverses the levels differently. So there's replay value in playing through with each character.
