News: Feb 26, 2025 Show

Feb 26th:A new bill in Arizona is making its way through the Senate that would force sites like e621 to implement mandatory age verification for all users—or face potential lawsuits. This system would require third-party vendors to verify every user’s age through a government database. Not only is this a massive violation of privacy, but it also introduces serious risks, including identity theft through phishing schemes and other malicious methods. Worse still, we would have no control over ensuring that user data is permanently deleted after verification.

Since e621 operates out of Arizona, this law would almost certainly impact us if it passes. If you want to help ensure that we can continue serving you without being forced to collect personal information, we urge you to contact Arizona’s senators and ask them to vote NO on this bill.

Please help spread the word about this issue and encourage others to take action.

    I asked in IRC. The admins ruled that it is incest if it is step-siblings. Adoption or not it's still incest.

    Authorial intent doesn't matter. We all know Rick Griffin freaks out and bans anyone at the slightest mention that Peanut/Grape is incestuous. That doesn't mean it flies on e621. It's incestuous, whether or not he is in denial of that fact.

    In a cold world of science where familial ties are PURELY based on blood relation, one may well say that since these individuals are not related it is not incest.

    but they ARE siblings. I dont know how many of YOU have step-siblings, but I definitely consider mine family, whether or not we came out of the same vagina. I dont let cold and loveless science define my life in clear technical terms. eg I call it sunday night if it is 12:01am monday morning. I call my stepsisters family and consider anything sexual with them to be incestuous.

    so if you wanted to be technical, no it isn't incest. if you want to be a lil more practical though, it is. so this arguent is the people who think realistically and those annoying furries that nitpick every detail and apply their own closed minded thinking to it.

    The admins are WRONG. Yeah I said it. This debate has gone on long enough; I'll say it again: "kissing is not incest". If that were true, then those of us whom received a kiss from a relative and/or parent during a holiday visit (or any visit for that matter) would be incest, and make our relatives and/or parents pedophiles.     Two years late but you're point is flawed. What if both siblings do not want children anyway or say, siblings are infertile or if it's homosexual incest?
