After seing how dense is lava and how people draw dragons swimming in it I can't but think how incredibly heavy and strong they must be, after all lava is liquid ROCK.

Some kinds of magma/lava are extremely runny, like in Hawaiian volcanoes.

It depends on the elements that are in the Lava as well as with the heat. If Lava has more elements that has a rather low point where they start to melt, Lava can be quite runny.
