Really hard to say, since there have been no confirmed sightings since 1936, and it's been considered extinct for 25 years now. There's not a lot of info on them. The best I can find is that they have a pouch into which they can retract their balls, which is unique to thylacines and water opossums (wikipedia). Nowhere else really says any more about it, that I can find.
