Although...looking in the stories, Avo is described as "chestnut-furred". Ah, well, still a great job.
Must admit, I missed that reference, but I did look up Egyptian Wolf, and they are pretty scruffy looking things, so I just decided to go with a single 'sand' colour, as there was no delineation in the drawing for colour separation. The hardest decision was to not go too detailed with tonal shading etc, and just leave it in 'comic' finish. The faded jeans were almost an accident.

aaa I wasn't expecting anyone to post this drawing up on e6 for me let alone color it! Thanks a bunch!
And some advice for coloring stuff that's pure black and white like my original drawing was; if you're using Paint Tool SAI, you can find an option under the "Layers" called "Luminance to Transparency" that will turn everything black, and any lighter shades into transparency so you can make a new layer and draw right underneath it.
