Hyrdopotinae is a small subfamily of the cervidae family specific to the water deer, containing only a single species with two subspecies. Uniquely, this deer sports a pair of fang-like tusks rather than the antlers deer are typically known for. The subspecies are listed below.
Not to be confused with musk deer.
