Cuckquean describes a female character whose romantic partner is unfaithful. For a post to count as cuckquean, the partner should be visually present and aware of the infidelity, otherwise it should only be tagged as infidelity.

Often, this is a humiliation kink for the cuckquean, who is aroused by her partner being with someone else.

Cuckquean can be approached in two ways:

• Following the strictest definition of cuckquean — the female character is knowing and consenting to the infidelity...
• The cuckquean may watch her partner having sex with another, while pleasuring herself, shown as aroused, happy with the situation, and/or giving praise or encouragement.
• This also applies to the cuckquean watching remotely or after the fact, e.g. watching through a live webcam feed, or viewing a recording of her partner having sex after the fact
• The third character involved may be unaware that the cuckquean is watching or that the infidelity is consensual

• Alternatively, she may actively "assist" in the sexual acts without directly engaging in sex with her partner (e.g. she may hold the head of the third party as they orally stimulate her partner, or guide her partner/the third party's penis towards penetration)
• If the cuckquean is taking an active role in the sexual acts, this should be tagged as threesome. If the sexes are mixed, depending on her partner and the third character's sex, this can be tagged as mmf threesome or ffm threesome

• Cuckquean is often used in a looser sense — simply describing that the character being cheated upon is female, and is present and aware of the infidelity, regardless of whether she consents or not...
• A common scenario in non-consensual "cuckqueaning" involves the cuckquean watching while her partner has sex with another, often teased or taunted by the third party engaging in sex with her partner
• The cuckquean may be restrained and forced to watch, be sent a live feed or recording, or she may walk in on her partner and another having sex, and simply be unable or unwilling to intervene even if the infidelity is against her wishes
