Copyright: father's day
The third Sunday in June is Father's Day in the United States. Other countries celebrate some version of Father's Day on different days of the year, such as March 19 as Saint Joseph's Day in Catholic countries of Europe.
Father's Day honors fathers and celebrates fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in society. The U.S. version was founded by Sonora Smart Dodd and first celebrated in 1910.
