A tailed character or species who, for some reason, doesn't seem to have one. This means that naturally tailless characters or species (such as humans) are exempt from this tag.

Reasons

• The artist didn't drew it on.
• They're a mutant among their kind; Born without a tail.
• It's ambiguous whether they have a tail or not.
• It's implied to be just behind them, hidden from view.
• It's hidden underneath clothing or armor with not bumps or outlines to indicate a hidden tail.
• Their rear is offscreen.
• Their rear is obstructed from view by something or someone onscreen.
