Meta: wall eye stereogram
From side_by_side_stereogram: A side-by-side stereogram is where the image is rendered from the perspective of two "cameras", and both perspectives are juxtaposed horizontally.
A wall-eye stereogram is a side-by-side stereogram where the halves of the image are arranged such that the viewer perceives the 3D effect when they keep their eyes parallel, such that the right eye is looking only at the right half and the left eye is looking only at the left.
This type of stereogram encompasses "Magic Eye" style images, also known as random dot stereograms, as well as "wallpaper" autostereograms, which feature repeating images over a background.
For images where the viewer is meant to look at the image cross-eyed, see cross_eye_stereogram.
